Canberra Plumbing and Drains

Prompt, professional service and clear communication are the themes that surface most often in feedback on this Canberra plumbing firm. Reviewers repeatedly describe plumbers arriving when scheduled and diagnosing faults quickly, whether the job involves a blocked sewer line, a leaking shower head, an air lock in a dishwasher inlet or a gas ducted heater that will not switch off.

Sebastian, Josh, Nick and Jerrard are among the staff named for friendliness and patience, while Jill in the office is praised for courteous handling of bookings and for following up afterwards to confirm the customer was satisfied. Something that features in review after review is the willingness to explain what is being done, with customers noting that adjacent gas and telephone lines were pointed out before excavation and that options and costs were talked through during a quote.

Several describe emergency callouts handled the next business day and heating faults resolved swiftly, including one instance where an unexpected carbon monoxide problem was found and discussed. The standard of workmanship on drain repairs, gas hot water systems and heating units is described as careful and thorough, with sites left tidy and jobs finished within the quoted time, and fair pricing is mentioned in connection with both routine repairs and after-hours callouts.

I called up about getting a quote to get my toilet unclogged (these new properties in Canberra very poorly built - no suprises there). It is the second time the toilet has clogged within 3 months. Canberra Plumbing was very helpful, really went out of his way to guide me on not only how to get this fixed, but a long term fix for this issue. All this, over phone! I have saved their number, they will the default I call for any issues I have in the future, genuineness and honesty go a long way in this market. Highly recommend!

Our gas ducted heating wouldn't turn off, and whilst there were no available appointments the same day, the representative (sorry that I can't remember your name!) was patient, super friendly and guided me through the process of isolating the switch, turning it off and reassuring me that the unit was okay. The technician came out the next business day, resolved the problem quickly, educated and discussed a plan of the next steps to take before next winter. We will definitely be using their services in the future and highly recommend! :)

I recently received a callback regarding a quote I had requested, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Andrew. During our conversation, Andrew exhibited a high level of professionalism and honesty. Given the intricate nature of my problem, he took the time to thoroughly explain the available options and associated costs while also offering assistance with any additional questions I might have had.

I had a leaking shower head, because the rubber seals had been very badly worn out and damaged, over the years. Luckily, the plumber, Nick, that came over, got the job done within half an hour. Highly recommended and thank you very much for yesterday. It's sincerely appreciate.

called for a quotation to replace old toilet with a new one (supplied by owner), hook up new laundry tub (supplied by owner) and change wash basin taps to a mixer tap (all items supplied by owner) This business wanted $297 to look at the job and quote. Asked for a ball park figure on what entire job wold cost as my builder had stated 4hrs work involved for a plumber. This business quoted $3000 to $4000!!!!!!. Really! for half a day to a days work! Get real! Get lost! Response to owner. There was nothing aggressive in the conversation as i was present. Further to this we have 2 plumbers inspect the job and not charged for the quotations. You wanted to charge $297 just to quote. Bad business model. One plumber quoted off the pictures provided ($850) and his quotation actually came down in price once the job was inspected. The quotations provided are $650 and $700. Both quotations provided are a great deal less than the $3000 to $4000 that you quoted after looking at the pictures. The comments provided are reasonable in light of what both plumbers have said. 4hrs work in total!!!

Would give more stars if I could. The good experience started with Jill in the office. Professional and just wonderful in general, and continued with Nick, who came out at short notice and didn't leave until the job that a previous plumber missed (twice) was fixed. Jill also called me afterwards to check in and make sure I was happy. I am genuinely recommending them! To everyone. Price was fair, quality and service unmatched. Avoid a headache and just book with them to begin with. Well done team, should be super proud of yourselves!

As other reviewers may have said, you don't get a cheap job, you get a professional job with prompt service, transparency in what it may cost and why, and they clean up after themselves. These young men must wear out a lot of socks! They take their boots off at the door. They pay attention to detail. They were personable, well presented, and respectful in their conversations and explanations. I believe we got great value and advice for the money we spent including the outcomes we had expected. Thanks to Emma in the office and to the guys on the job.
