Cats Plumbing & Gas Services

Repeated praise centres on repairs being achieved where replacement had been suggested, with Ian the tradesman most often named by those who have dealt with this Geelong gasfitting business. Central heating units and evaporative coolers recur throughout the feedback, diagnosed and brought back into service rather than swapped out, and one job involved fitting a wall furnace with a compliant fan assisted flue. Hot water receives regular mention, including a changeover to an instantaneous gas system with new pipework, the completed installation described as very tidy.

Several customers describe how quotes came in well under what they had expected, and how no unnecessary work was proposed. An observation shared by more than one reviewer is the speed of response, with calls returned without delay and booked times held firm, one installation squeezed in before a planned Queensland holiday. Commercial kitchens appear too, a twelve burner grill serviced with its injectors and burners cleaned and a thermocouple replaced at a price considered fair. Customers note the site left clean, plain explanations of the work, and advice reliable enough that they return whenever appliances need servicing.

I own a restaurant with a 12 burner grill, I called Ian about a service for the grill and he promptly responded to book a time. He showed on time and serviced the 12 injectors and burners, changed one thermocouple in a few hours and charged me a very reasonable price. I will definitely be using Cats Plumbing and Gas service in the future and will HIGHLY recommend them to anyone requiring gas plumbing services. Thanks for a great job done, the grill is cooking about 60% hotter than before the service.

After being told by a previous tradesman that our ducted heater needed replacing I reached out to Ian to see if he could come and have a look it. Ian did an excellent job diagnosing the issue and repairing our ducted heater in a very quick turnaround time. He really demonstrated his excellent product knowledge and made sure the correct part was replaced and tested. Highly recommend.

I contacted Ian because our gas wall furnace did not pass a safety check. He was able to help us out with replacing it with a fan assisted flue that is now compliant with the new vba requirements. He was very professional, prompt and provided a great service. I can highly recommend this company and would be more than happy to use him again

I had my evap cooler, wall furnace and hot water system all serviced by Ian he was prompt, professional and cleaned up afterwards. As I got all 3 appliances serviced he offered a great price. Highly recommended.

Big thanks to all at Cats Plumbing. They installed a new air conditioner for us recently. They were extremely knowledgeable, and any questions we had were promptly responded to. The whole process from quote to completion was so easy, would definitely recommend them.

I chose Cats Plumbing & Gas Services because others had posted such positive reviews, and now that I have had a similar positive experience, I'll write my own review so that others can benefit. From the time that Ian answered my first call, through to when we shook hands after the installation had been completed, my experience with Cats was definitely 5 star. Everything about it. Ian is a really nice guy who truly cares for his customers. He's easy to connect with, he most certainly knows his stuff, the quality of his work is outstanding, and his pricing is competitive. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Ian and his company (Cats) and I'm happy to recommend his services to others. He'll be top of my list for the next time something related to a/c or plumbing has to be installed or attended to. And I'll look forward to experiencing Ian's good cheer again.

Highly recommended Ian. Basically I live in south east and my rental needed evap cooler fixed. Bon Aire quoted me $875. Rang Ian who lived in Geelong to see if I could get a better deal. Ian had the option to really take me to the cleaners and come in at say $500-600 which was a lot cheaper. This is why Ian has my recommendation. Looked at the job and quoted me just $250 to complete the job. Very hard to find trades with integrity and honesty these days so I was very grateful I found Ian. Thank you mate I appreciate all your efforts despite a few hiccups along the way.
