Couldn’t recommend Alfa Plumbing & Gas Services enough! I was really fortunate to have Matt and Alessia helping me out, and they were genuinely two of the kindest and most accommodating people. From the beginning, you could tell they genuinely wanted to help and make what was already a stressful situation as easy as possible for me. They spent hours working on my sink and were incredibly thorough, while still doing everything they could to get it sorted as quickly and efficiently as possible. They were also so respectful of my home, keeping everything as clean as they could throughout the whole process and making sure everything was left tidy afterwards. Honestly such lovely, hardworking people and such a refreshing experience. I’m so grateful for all their help and would 100% recommend them to anyone needing a plumber in Cairns. Extremely disappointed. I deeply regret not reading the negative Google reviews before hiring them. I recently moved into an old house and noticed the hot water system was dripping. Since it was an old unit, we were open to replacing it. When I first contacted Alfa for a quote, they said they couldn't give one directly and needed a technician to come assess the site first. When the lady technician arrived, I pointed out the exact leak, and she saw it. She gave us quotes for two different brands. She also tested our home's water pressure and said it was higher than the normal 500. When I asked what to do, she told me that if we decided to replace the system, they would replace the hot water system and fix it together. The installation itself was efficient. However, very soon after, I noticed it was still dripping from the exact same spot. I contacted them, and the technician claimed that the dripping was actually normal. As for the high water pressure, she changed the story and stated that adjusting the whole house would require another quote. This made no sense. If the same relief valve keeps dripping anyway, why did I even need to spend money on a brand-new system? To make matters worse, the invoice clearly included "Provide a report on findings and recommend next steps." Yet, when I followed up via text and email to ask what exactly was broken on my old hot water system, two weeks passed and nobody replied. They were very quick to send the invoice right after the installation. We paid on the same day, but for the next week, we kept receiving automated payment reminders by email and text. There is clearly a major communication gap in their internal system. I can't believe I spent $3,440 on a new system just because I didn't know the valve dripping was "normal," and now no one will tell me what was actually wrong with my old one. I guess they won't reply to my emails anymore, and they will probably just leave a generic, official response to this review now that they have my money.

Brilliant work by Matteo and his colleague. Very informative and now I have clean drainage pipes and running hot water in my laundry. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Alfa plumbing. Easy to make appointment and given the options before they went ahead. 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

These guys responded very promptly, were very upfront every step of the way. Professional! Did exactly what we asked for and even more. Took all the rubbish even though they had not even purchased tap and fittings for us.
