Elgas LPG Gas Tamworth

Gas bottle refills and hot water supply across the Tamworth district are handled by this Elgas outlet, and accounts from customers describe a business whose results divide sharply. Praise clusters around the initial sign-up, where several accounts describe cheaper bottle pricing than competing suppliers, discounts applied for opening an account and rental charges waived for the first year. Willingness to fit in urgent deliveries despite thin driver numbers also draws thanks, and James is singled out for arranging a drop-off after existing bottles had emptied.

The recurring complaint concerns scheduled deliveries that do not arrive when promised, with households left without gas for days and forced to buy an electric hot plate to cook. Follow-up calls about missed drops form another repeated theme, described as a cycle of fresh commitments rather than any resolution. Billing friction appears in some accounts through extra transaction charges and collection fees on empty bottles that customers expected to be covered. The team comes across as stretched, while the pricing arrangement and individual staff efforts remain the points most often recognised.

This team is not fit for doing business at all. The 24/7 customer service helpline is a fake thing they are running at the moment. This is the 2nd time I've been calling them to say that I ran out of Gas and this service helpline agent named Colie or Kolie, just hung up on me in between the conversation. She didn't even listen to my issue fully. And after an eternal long time of waiting in queue for speaking to an agent. He ends up saying the same thing that he's helpless and the branch will contact me on the next business day untill which I have to close my business just because I'm relying on their gas for running the fryers at my store. Worst experience everytime. If there was an option to scale their efficiency, then they would've scores around -1000 stars.

Poor customer service, never deliver on schedule and which left us with no gas in the middle of winter due to their scheduling. Put in 3 complaints/inquiries however still no contact. Tamworth branch

Their gas prices keep going up📈 and never come down. Compared to other areas, the price is half of theirs. I'm really disappointed. I'll go to your place with the invoice.

I experienced exceptionally poor customer service regarding my gas order, which was confirmed for delivery on May 21. By 4 PM, with no sign of the delivery, I called to inquire and was informed there was a scheduling issue, resulting in a rescheduled delivery for May 22. To my dismay, I was offered the option to pay an additional $200 to receive the gas on the originally confirmed date. There was no proactive communication regarding the delay, and the apology I received was insubstantial. I'll be changing suppliers!

I signed up with Elgas last week and they have been brilliant. Firstly the gas was almost $30 cheaper per bottle than Origin, on top of that they offered an additional $50 per bottle discount for new accounts and no rental fee for first 12 months. Even being short staffed with delivery drivers they were able to squeeze me in for delivery today instead of middle of next week as our old bottles had both ran out. Big thankyou to James and the whole team at Tamworth, fantastic service.

The Elgas branch in Tamworth is without a doubt one of the most incompetent businesses I have ever dealt with. I have bought a 90kg refil on Friday 02/08 and was told delivery is Monday. I enquired on Tuesday 06/08 as still not delivered. Was told it will be delivered Monday 12/08. Not delivered! Called Elgas Tuesday 13/08 and enquired about gas delivery and again not delivered on 14, 15 and 16/08. I am still waiting my gas but already lost faith on these bunch of liars. Delivery service is misleading and poor customer service. Avoid!

Told delivery is Monday, Wednesday & Friday. I ordered and paid for a bottle of gas on Monday 15th July. I enquired on Friday 19th as still not delivered. Told it will be delivered Monday 22nd. Not delivered. Called Elgas Tuesday 23rd and enquired with a nice lady re gas delivery. Told it will be delivered Wednesday 24th. Delivery service is misleading and poor customer service. (July 2024).
