I arranged a day and time for the job, and everything initially seemed fine. When no one arrived as scheduled, I called to check what was happening and was told they were 30 minutes away. I waited—since I live in a gated community—but no one showed up. I called again and received no answer. A few hours later, I received a text saying they had been held up and asked to reschedule for the next day. The following morning, I called again and was told I’d receive a text within 10 minutes. Nothing ever came. Overall, it was a complete waste of time. If they don’t have the capacity to fix a toilet, it would be far more respectful to simply say so rather than leaving people waiting. I wouldn’t recommend relying on them.

The boys were fantastic. Arrived on time very knowledgeable and friendly Liam was very helpful as this was an emergency, they arrived a couple of hours after I called. Thanks heaps guys

Absolutely useless bunch of people. They waste your time, costing you money in the long run. They go months with no reply, ignoring your messages and calls after a consultation, “Just need to order a part”. I’d steer clear of them, easily worst tradesmen in Cairns.

Terribly bad in communication, punctuality and unprofessional. Too many promises and wasting time. Called and emailed them to get a quote on 20/8, Liam said he would reply back the quote the next day but nothing happened. Called him again on 21/8 no picked up or replied on sms. Called again on 22/8, he said he was working on it and would email soon in the morning. Still nothing happened.

I've used LJ's Plumbing Service in Cairns twice over the last few years. Both times the bill was less than I expected it to be and both times they helped me on the day I reached out, which was amazing, coz both times were fairly big leaks. They didn't answer my first calls, but I left a voicemail both times, which they returned within a couple of hours. I'd definitely use them again. Their communication via phone and text could definitely improve, as many of their clients would probably be in a pickle, trying to organise a plumber to visit asap, but they're not as bad as most of the tradies/contactors in Cairns I've ever dealt with. Better/easier communication could relieve much stress and would've earned them a fifth star.

They charged me 6.5 hours for gas leak repair. He only changed the tubes and fittings for the stove, left the house to get the materials for 2 HOURS. Looking at how this person did the job, he was taking too much time moving so slow like a sloth. I talked to the manager or who ever it was to reduce the charge but they wouldn't. I can't believe they can do that kind of lazy work just to get more money. Would not recommend this service.
