They came out within a couple of days of ringing them and replaced the faulty gas heater controller. A quick response and job done perfectly. Have used W V P & G a number of times all with the same good service.

Had a plumbing problem Friday lunch time, gave them a call, they managed to fit me in the same afternoon. I was notified when they were on their way and the service we received was first rate, they identified the problem and solved the issue promptly. Would certainly recommend.

Alex came in this afternoon to inspect a leak that turned out to be somewhere in the hot water line. Provided me a quote to investigate further and turned the tap on the hot water pipe off. Tap is now broken and i can’t turn the hot water back on. Called the office but no-one picks up as it’s closed. Called the number Alex used to call me, he picked up after 4 rings, refused to own it and told me to wait until tomorrow and call the office. Now i have no hot water for the rest of the cold night and morning. It was working, now it’s not. And now my family with 2 young kids will have to suffer. ---------- Thanks for the response, but this doesn't reflect my experience. Before the visit, the system was still working (with a leak). After your technician turned the valve off using tools, I was left with no hot water at all. That's a worse outcome, not a resolved one. Saying I was "shown" how to use it isn't accurate in any practical sense. No clear instruction was given, and if a valve can fail from normal handling, that should have been explicitly explained. Expecting a customer to get this right defeats the purpose of hiring a professional. You also state the valve was "operating correctly," yet it required tools to operate. It's unreasonable to then call similar handling "tampering." The after-hours response was also poor. I understand you no longer offer after-hours service, but this issue arose directly from the work done earlier that day. I called around 6pm after getting home - not late - and was simply asking the technician to take ownership of the situation. Instead, the response was dismissive, and you were more than happy to leave us without hot water, or to sort it out ourselves. Most telling is the lack of any practical thinking. Another plumber immediately recognised the valve setup is an issue and added additional valve that is far better and easier to use - no prompting needed. He also charged significantly less. I feel like there is difference between just doing a job and actually knowing what you're doing. For the price charged, this was poor value and poor service. I’d strongly suggest others think twice and compare options before engaging.

We highly recommend Woden Valley Plumbing and Gasfitting. We had an old gas heater that refused to start. Ian, the technician, was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to properly service the heating unit, cleaned the injectors, adjusted the pilot light and the thermocouple.and managed to get it running properly again. The office staff were friendly and provided clear communication regarding timing. The cost was reasonable, and the work area was left perfectly clean.
