Vulcan Hot Water

The original Vulcan hot water system failed after only 18 months of use. While Vulcan supplied a replacement unit under what they described as a "partial warranty", we were still required to pay an additional $850 out of pocket. Unfortunately, the experience only worsened from there. The plumbing company (Link plumbing gas service) assigned to install the replacement system demonstrated poor workmanship. Within minutes of the installation being completed, the new system began leaking and the plumbers had to return to rectify the problem. To make matters worse, the owner of Link Plumbing was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the process.
Absolute rubbish. My poor mum who is a pensioner shelled out for a brand new Vulcan hot water system. Pilot light will not stay lit. Out of warranty even though it’s hardly two years old. Now going to cost $1000 to fix. Outrageous that a system so new is so faulty and no responsibility taken. Other system lasted 15 years and no issues. Stay clear.
Had a Vulcan Electric Water Heater installed in 2021. The release valve according to the installation manual was meant to be released approximately every 6 months. Ever since I have had the thing it leaks about 4 litres per day. Contacted Service Centre and spoke with Rep. Because it is 18 months old they required $289 off my Bankcard to get someone out to look at it. Firstly no wonder I was getting a massive water bill and secondly the Rep couldn't care less about the problem. Customer Service, what a bloody joke. Wouldn't recommend anyone buy a Vulcan. Follow up service absolute garbage
Old one lasted 15+ years. Pretty damn good.
Broke down within two days of installation. Very disappointing. Rheem/Vulcan service tech was great though - friendly and efficient.
Plenty of hot water
