We replaced our gas fired hydronic heating system with a high temperature heat pump.Installation was carried out by our local plumber and electrician. Nick from Wiseliving gave them instructions on how to install the system, and visited the site to see how things were going. Installation was drama and trouble free. We haven’t missed our gas boiler. We are already devotee's of wood stoves. Last season the old stove blew it's water jacket (wetback, water heater), to replace/repair it needed to come out and it's 60yrs old, an upgrade seemed a good option. Barbeques Galore Wagga introduced us to the Wiseliving range and we choose a Supreme Mk3, Stirling opt with chrome stove top and hotplate covers and Claret Red Powder coat doors. The construction quality and ability to repair or refurbish in 20yrs together with the simplicity of operation made this a great purchase and we love it. We cook on it every day, using the all surfaces, main hotplate, oven and simmer/warming plate. Roasts, meat and 3 veg, pasta, bread, boiled eggs a kettle sits there with hot water for coffee or tea. There is a little bit of art and magic to use a wood stove properly, lost to most but we have found ourselves spending time in the kitchen together preparing food, low and slow cooking delicious meals and talking rather than 10 minutes on the Air Fryer watching a screen, etc. Our Thermalux Stirling Supreme mk 3 gives us hotwater, home heating, a focal point for family and joyful food.

Bought Gourmet Cooker with wet back many years ago, primarily wanted to heat our hot water with the wet back, plumber had to come back 10 times, and after 2 seperate heat exchangers and trying a little voltage pump, it failed, the only thing that worked was going direct, so that's what we did (technically not supposed to do i know), then we supported the company again a few years later on a large renovation and purchased a Sophel 35kw boiler wood heater for hydronic heating, this works well but the Sophel heater is designed poorly having to raise the front door to open the hatch to gain access to the ash tray to empty it! The wet back on the Gourmet was only 8kw and i had to get a 15kw fitted as it was still not heating the hot water anything like enough, after fitting the 15kw wet back it improved enough to work. It started springing a leak and I had to get it repaired, this continued until last year I decided to purchase a new one so I would once again have a few years where repairs would not be necessary, the new one leaked in first 3 months, contacted them and basically they refused to help in anyway as it was fitted by me (easy enough job, plumber not required), and I'd be broke if I got a plumber every time it needed repairs! And because it wasn't going through an open vented heat exchange THAT NEVER WORKED!!! Threw myself at their mercy pleading for assistance in some small way, nothing at all offered, I have now just weighed the old wet back - 3.5kg, the new one - only 2.38kg suggesting lighter material? Service very poor if things go wrong, beware!

Old school quality and responsive advice selling and manufacturing quality products made in Australia! Hard not support a quality company like this!

I found Nick’s product knowledge and expertise outstanding. Two install issues that we had were resolved in less than an hour will enable us to get better functionality out of our system. We appreciate the time and effort he took to drive the distance to come up and resolve the issues

The follow up service from Wiseliving after we installed their heat pump water system was and is excellent. Communication through email, phone and in person re time settings excellent.
