Adelaide Heat Pumps

Heat pump installations and the craftsmanship behind them form the strongest theme running through customer accounts of this Adelaide business. Customers in several reviews describe swapping gas storage systems or aging electric heaters for Reclaim and Apricus units, and the praise centres on tidy plumbing, proper drainage and neat finishes in roof spaces and around pool equipment. Jonathen is named repeatedly as the person who answers questions, including outside normal hours, and who coordinates installations alongside trusted electricians so that gas cooktops can be exchanged for induction at the same time.

One thing mentioned again and again is fair pricing for the equipment and ongoing upkeep, quick replies to enquiries and short waits between agreeing to buy and having the unit running. One household reports a pool climbing from 18 to 29 degrees within days, and another notes a leaking heat pump attended the following day at no charge. Punctuality, courtesy and a thorough clean-up after the install are recurring remarks, and even a builder with exacting standards singles out the level of finish. Advice after the job is given just as readily as before it.

I’m very disappointed with the service I’ve received. My current system burst, and I was told a quote would be sent to me as soon as possible. I initially spoke with someone, but when I followed the following day and left a voicemail, I received no response. Two days after that, I called again—still no reply. On my third attempt, I finally spoke to someone who said the quote was ready but just needed a supervisor’s approval. I reminded them that I urgently needed it, as I had no hot water. That was a week ago, and I still haven’t received anything. Very poor service, and I certainly won’t be recommending this company.

Adelaide Heat Pumps installed a Apricus All-in-one Heat Pump Hot Water Service to replace our gas storage HWS on 24 August 2023. We chose them because of their reasonable price for both the system and maintenance, their prompt responses to questions and their good availability (about 2 weeks from agreeing to buy to installation). The installation went very well. I requested that the HP be backed up by our battery and that was agreed on the fly on the day. All staff were very pleasant and obliging, including coming back promptly to remove a small brick and concrete that had been inadvertently left at our place. The owner, Jonathen, showed considerable IT expertise in getting our WIFI system to interconnect with the HP. I cannot speak highly enough of their punctuality, attention to detail, courtesy and know how. A great pleasure to deal with and highly recommended!

Jonathen and his team at Adelaide Heat Pumps did a fantastic, quick and neat job while replacing an old electric water heater with a Reclaim Energy heat pump system. From initial quoting (very reasonable pricing as well) to install we had a great experience and Jonathen was able to answer any questions we had (even after hours!). We HIGHLY recommend Adelaide Heat Pumps for anyone looking for a local Adelaide company who is passionate about what they do.

Adelaide Heat Pumps installed our Reclaim heat pump two years ago. It has been amazing and has saved us so much money. With the arrival of winter, I noticed it was leaking. Jonathen popped in THE NEXT DAY and hooked up a pipe to catch the condensation and send it down the drain instead of all over the concrete path. He didn't even charge us for the service! Amazing! Can't recommend them highly enough.

When our old electric hot water service died this winter, rather than replacing it with the same type of power guzzling system, we saw it as an opportunity to invest in a hot water pump from Adelaide Heat Pumps, to save on power bills and to become a more sustainable household. Jonathen and the team were very professional and polite, from providing the quote, keeping us informed about delivery, to installation of the unit, which we have now been using for several weeks. With the user-friendly app, the pump can be set up to operate during the most economic time of day, outside of peak rate electricity, which also coincides with the highest solar production hours during the day. Happy customers :-)

Jonathen is very well organised, prompt and efficient as well as being a thoroughly nice guy. My heat pump is very neatly installed, operates quietly (unlike one I had installed in Melbourne in 2014) and is amazingly efficient! The work was carried out carefully and the whole area left very neat and tidy. Rubbish was sorted for appropriate recycling as the installation progressed. I am very impressed and HIGHLY recommend Adelaide Heat Pumps!!

Adelaide Heat Pumps were professional and super easy to deal with. Jon dealt with out of hours queries, gave a good impression and cares about the equipment he sells. Super clean install, I would recommend them to anyone.
