Proximity Plumbers were excellent! I had an after-hours plumbing emergency and a plumber arrived within 30 minutes. Tommy fixed the issue quickly and was professional and polite. I received a detailed follow-up report a few hours later. 10/10 would recommend!
We couldn’t be happier with the service Dylan provided. He came out promptly, was friendly, polite and knew exactly what he was doing. Our shower drain was completely blocked (thanks to my husband’s back hair!) and Dylan had it cleared in no time at all. He explained everything clearly, cleaned up after himself and was such a pleasure to deal with. It’s so nice to find a tradesman who is reliable, honest and takes pride in his work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dylan to anyone needing a good plumber. Thank you again for your wonderful service!
Proximity Plumbing have been great! Tommy has done a very efficient, effective and reasonably priced job… I’m very impressed with his professionalism and attitude. Full marks to Proximity Plumbing. As a side note when I had my plumbing problems I was able to get in contact with their office at 4.45 am on a Saturday morning!!
The customer service was good, but I found the pricing extremely high. I initially asked about the cost and was told they charge per job rather than per hour. They came out to assess the job and quoted $450 + GST to prepare the plumbing for a washing machine. After I raised my concerns, they reduced the price to $350 + GST. In hindsight, I’m particularly surprised that the initial quote was $450 + GST, given it was provided after they had assessed the job and knew exactly what was involved. At the time, I didn’t realise how simple the job actually was. The work involved changing a one-way tap to a two-way connector and drilling through the cap of an existing waste port. The plumber did need to leave briefly to pick up a connector, but the actual work took less than five minutes, if that. Once I saw what was involved, it appeared to require very little work. I appreciate that not everyone has plumbing knowledge, but it seemed like the type of job that someone with basic plumbing knowledge could complete very quickly. This made even the reduced price feel significantly overpriced. Based on pricing I had received from other plumbers who charge by call-out fee and time, I believe this type of job would likely have been covered by their minimum charge, which would have been considerably less than what I ended up paying. The work itself was completed without issue, but overall I found the pricing very difficult to justify.
I highly recommend Justin! He listened carefully to all of my requests and found the perfect solution without requiring major bathroom renovations. He provided the most practical and cost-effective plan, explained everything clearly, arrived exactly when scheduled, and completed the installation quickly and professionally. Justin is a highly skilled plumber who is also friendly and reliable. I'm extremely happy with the result and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone
Cannot recommend highly enough! I've used this company a few times now and every single experience has been seamless from start to finish. I called to book and they had me in for the following day — but then rang back an hour or so later with an earlier availability for that same day. Dylan completed a cistern internal upgrade efficiently, tested everything thoroughly, and took the time to walk me through solutions for down the track to help prevent any issues from recurring. Incredibly personable and clearly knows his stuff. Consistent, reliable, and genuinely great service every time. They'll be my first call for anything plumbing-related going forward. Thank you!
