Saturday night, empty house, house sale due to settle on Monday morning and a valve on a hydronic heater panel goes. I called a plumber who came out, isolated my boiler and stopped the leak BUT unfort didn’t have the part to do the repair. So I called this company and explicitly asked the booking agent if their plumber had the specific part for the repair. I explained I knew exactly what was needed and just needed the quick repair before Monday morning so settlement wouldn’t be delayed. While the customer service rep was unable to confirm if the plumber carried the part, they emphasised that it was likely and all plumbers had access to an after hours warehouse. What she didn’t tell me was that despite knowing exactly what was needed and despite having the part on his truck, their plumber held it hostage and refused to do the repair unless I approved an entire system service - to the tune of $2500. Given it is a $100 job for our usual plumber and I already paid $150 call out fee, the only thing I can figure is your business works on the extortion of desperate people in genuine emergency situations.

I had to call Mr Plumbing Emergency late at night, and they arrived pretty quickly. The plumber was polite and knew what he was doing. The issue was fixed well, but the price was a little on the higher side compared to what I expected. Overall, a reliable service when you’re in a tough situation.

Worst company came across, They quoted me $3800 just to change the tap. Someone else came and did it for $275.i Requested the refund that they always precharge us . I don’t think they will refund me. never pay them before they do the job. These people are con artists. Very disappointed

Same experience as others. Had to pay a $150 call out fee. Fair enough, emergency. However, when they wanted to charge $1600 for a simple tap change, we were just flabbergasted. Of course, refused. Got another plumber and the job was done for a literal fraction of the cost. Had to pay $150 to learn to never deal with the Mr Emergency franchise.

Why is there no Zero star? This service is a scam and i suspect designed to profit of people that have no idea or no one to help them. Paid the call out fee and then waited for a "technician" to turn up. Without even looking at the heater unit he told me it would be 2.8K to service before he would even identify the fault. Politely told him to get off my property and then got a real hydronic technician out the next day who serviced it for 280$ as per what i already knew was the fault. Don't bother with these scammers. I'm surprised that they have not been shut down yet. Their "service" is a false and gimmicky as the rocket on their vans.

This is truly a scam. I called on a Sunday afternoon as our toilet at our small business was clogged and overflowing. I paid a callout fee of $140 which I thought was fair on a Sunday night, but when the guy arrived (5 hours later, mind you) he said it would cost $949 to plunge the toilet and they can't even guarantee that would fix it. I asked him how long it would take and he said "oh not long" - tell me how you can justify asking for $949 then? I sent him away and then managed to resolve the problem myself. If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not use them!!!

Dude came out the next day, I had one loose soffit panel that was rattling in the wind. I pointed out the panel and for some reason he started taking photos of the other side of the house and eaves which weren't the problem. Guy was friendly but he seemed to not care. Didn't even inspect the actual panel that was loose, didn't even go up to look. Kept saying "bad weather" although the rain hadn't started yet and was in the forecast for later in the day. Mind you, this was after paying a $140 callout fee over the phone beforehand. He stayed for about 5 minutes, said they will have to do a "full inspection" for $1800 and climb onto the roof and remove roof tiles to see what's wrong with the panel. And that was just diagnose the issue which I had already pointed out. He said he would email me the quote for $1800 which I never received. Not that I'd accept it anyway. $140 to drive out in a vehicle with a massive shiny red rocket on-top and take some photos on your smartphone from a distance and stand around for 5 mins. What a mad job, I should apply. Easy money. Don't know if it'll last long though.
