The People's Plumber

Melbourne's northern districts have taken to The People's Plumber largely by word of mouth, with referrals from friends, neighbours and relatives shaping much of the feedback. Ash is the name that surfaces most often, described as dependable, quick to respond and straightforward to work with, and multiple accounts note his willingness to squeeze urgent jobs into an already busy schedule, from tree-root-choked sewer pipes to dripping taps, explaining each finding in plain language and showing before-and-after images so households feel reassured.

Tom and Charlie also feature regularly, praised for troubleshooting in ageing art deco apartments, awkward washing machine installations and roof work, with one household grateful to the pair for attending a last-minute leaking tap just before a holiday. A recurring theme is the balance between craftsmanship and cost, with quotes described as sensible, keenly set and held to budget, and one customer noting a far lower figure than earlier estimates for identical work.

Jobs mentioned include new box gutters, skylight sealing, gutter removal, roof clearing and blocked drains, plus commercial roof and hatch installations. Reviews regularly refer to punctuality, a tidy finish, courteous treatment of family members and communication that continues once the work is done. Care for the finished result, candid advice and an easy manner complete the pattern.

After being quoted very high prices for installing a washing machine in my kitchen, Ash offered a much more reasonable rate. Tom, who carried out the work, did an excellent job—even though it was a slightly tricky installation—and was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend them.

'The people's plumber' is absolutely right! Ash and Charlie were fantastic. Prompt and easy communication, showed up on time, friendly, did an amazing job even when it started raining, talked me through the process, and very reasonable pricing! If you are looking for a plumber in the north of Melbourne, Ash is your man!

Our go to plumber! Ash and Tom did an amazing job replacing our hot water service, which was in a very challenging placement, installing the new service in good time and bringing it all under code. Communication with Ash was easy and both he and Tom were incredibly personable, which is why we keep choosing them. It's all respect. There was zero intimidation, which we have experienced before with other trades. If only it was always this easy when it comes to getting work done. They even delivered on a few items of work that were beyond the quote. Thank you Tom and Ash.

A neighbour and friend recommended Ash and his team, and we’re so glad they did. From the very first communication through to quoting, answering our questions, and completing the job, Ash and Tom were outstanding. They handled everything for our block of units efficiently and professionally, delivering great results in a timely manner. We highly recommend and truly value the TPP team.
