I’m all for supporting local businesses around Lalor and Thomastown. A few years ago, they helped fix my roof at a fair price and did a great job. Recently, I had a bathroom issue and the technician was polite and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem well and recommended a long-term solution costing a few thousand dollars. While I understood that, I asked if a short-term, lower-cost fix was possible as I needed some time to arrange funds. Unfortunately, they declined to offer a temporary option. I later had the issue temporarily fixed by someone else at a much lower cost, with the same understanding that it wouldn’t last. I appreciate quality permanent solutions, but a bit more flexibility and empathy would have gone a long way.
